MET call today in the psychogeri ward. Patient febrile; septic. 18G IV access, drew 20 mL of blood.
"Quick, give me a red top,, purple top and blood culture bottles"
Silence...
Then I get handed the blood tubes but...no blood culture bottles.
"Um...no culture bottles?"
Response from the intern, "这里很参的啦，什么都没有."
OK...no blood culture bottles, even on the crash cart? WTF?? T_T
