This morning the temperature was -1 degrees Celsius. Apparently it was so cold that it broke the heating in the hospital so it was like working in a fridge all day. But that doesn't make any sense to me at all...why someone would design a heating system that fails when you need it the most. And then the other thing that doesn't make sense to me is why the hospital won't turn off the heating until it's fixed because basically what it was doing today was turbocharging cold air into the wards. You couldn't stand under a vent without your goosebumps coming up.
And apparently the rest of the week is going to be about the same as well.

One thing I dislike about hospital especially night shifts is that it can get too cold at night. And just looking at the patients trying to sleep in the cold, I wonder why they won't turn up the heating. Probably to save us from doing too much blood cultures??
Dunno. Maybe they don't want people to leave their beds and have falls?
