Was on take yesterday, had a million new patients. As if I didn't have enough trouble and jobs to do today.

At 3pm, the HITH nurse calls me regarding two HITH patients. One patient's PICC line fell out during her sleep and she needed an urgent one put back in this afternoon. The other patient had swelling in the arm where his PICC was in. Guess what? He had a DVT! So he needed an urgent PICC line in the other arm and therapeutic clexane. Unbelievable...Million things to do and you dump these two new patients onto me (who by the way the HITH nurses threatened would have to be admitted to hospital under MY team if I couldn't get the PICC lines in! The nerve!!)

Anyway, luckily things worked out and the patients got their PICCs. Win =)
